We have changed the topic of the October 25th meeting!
In light of the recent allegations against staff members at the DPOC and OC Labor, during the #MeToo campaign this week, we have decided to have a discussion about sexual harassment, not only in the workplace...everywhere!
We have invited guests who are experts on this subject and will update this page as we confirm speakers.
Confirmed Guest Speakers:
Professor Jane Stoever, UCI School of Law: Professor Stoever has extensive experience teaching domestic violence clinics and engaging in scholarship in the areas of domestic violence law, family law, feminist legal theory, and clinical legal theory.
Fran Sdao, Chair of Democratic Party of OC: While Fran doesn't claim to be an expert, we thought it important to give an update on what is taking place at the DPOC headquarters.
Eli Pascal, MSW
Eli brings with them more than 17 years of experience in the fields of advocacy, student affairs, organizational consulting, development, and nonprofit administration. They received both their B.A. and Master of Social Work degrees at Marywood University in Scranton, PA – a place where the community ignited and fueled their passions for engagement and organizing for change. Their current focus is on driving the sustainable growth of the CARE Office’s Holistic Healing programs while concurrently supporting its current programs and services.
Please bring an appetizer to share. NWPC OC will provide soft drinks.
