Bell Hooks

Gloria Jean Watkins, known by her pen name bell hooks, was an American author, professor, feminist, and social activist. Her writing focused on love, race, class, gender, art, history, sexuality, mass media, and feminism. She taught at Stanford, Yale, the City College of New York, and finally Berea College, where she founded the bell hooks Institute.
